A short page, because there is not much to tell.
What this site sets
This site sets two cookies. Both exist only to remember that you have signed in. Neither is used for analytics, advertising or tracking, and neither is shared with anyone.
| Name | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| hyeb_site | Remembers that you entered the site password, so you are not asked on every page. | 30 days |
| hyeb_admin | Remembers that an operator signed in to the control panel. | 7 days |
Both are set with the HttpOnly flag, so page scripts cannot read them, and with SameSite=Lax, so they are not sent when another site links to us. On an encrypted connection they are also marked Secure.
Why there is no cookie banner
Rules on cookies generally require your consent before anything non-essential is stored on your device. Both of the cookies above are strictly necessary: without them, signing in would not work at all. A consent banner is not required for cookies of that kind, and asking for consent we do not need would be noise rather than protection.
If we ever add analytics, advertising or anything else that is not strictly necessary, we will ask you first, and this page will change before it happens.
Other storage
This site does not use local storage, session storage or any other device storage to track you.
Turning them off
Your browser can block or delete cookies. If you block these two, the site will simply ask for the password again on every page.
